What we are aiming for
We are working to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA. We are not claiming to have met every point of it. This page says plainly what we have done and what is still wrong, because a statement that only lists successes is not much use to anyone trying to use the site.
What works
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard. Menus, the bag and the filter panels can be closed with Escape, and keyboard focus is kept inside them while they are open and returned where it came from afterwards.
- Text meets the AA contrast minimum against its background, and form field borders meet the separate 3:1 rule for controls.
- Motion respects your system setting. If you have asked your device to reduce motion, the carousels stop moving on their own.
- Every image that carries meaning has a text alternative.
- Pages use real headings in order, and forms use real labels rather than placeholder text standing in for one.
What we know is still wrong
Found in our own audit and not yet fixed as of 28 July 2026:
- When a form is sent successfully, a screen reader is not told, and keyboard focus is lost because the form is replaced by the confirmation.
- Some icon-only buttons in the navigation bar are around 36 to 38 pixels, short of the 44 pixel target size we want for touch.
- Filtering treatments or products does not announce how many results are left, so the change is silent if you cannot see the page.
- Footer headings skip levels rather than following in order.
- The desktop drop-down menus do not tell assistive software which panel they control.
- Adding or removing a wishlist item is not announced, and focus moves unexpectedly.
These are scheduled, not filed and forgotten. If one of them is blocking you right now, tell us and we will prioritise it.
Parts of the site we do not control
The map on the contact page is Google's and we cannot change how it behaves. Our address is written out in text next to it and in the footer, so nothing depends on being able to use the map.
The course classroom runs on separate software. It is being brought in line with the rest of the site, and we will report on it here once that work is done rather than claim it in advance.
Tell us when something blocks you
If any part of this site stops you doing what you came to do, please tell us. Say what you were trying to do and what got in the way, and we will reply within one working day.
Email info@rejuvenatebarbados.com or call (246) 241-7565. If the website is the barrier, the phone is not: we can take a booking, answer questions about a treatment and place an order for you entirely by phone or WhatsApp.
