1. About us
These terms apply when you use rejuvenatebarbados.com or learn.rejuvenatebarbados.com, buy from our shop, book a treatment or take one of our courses. “We” and “us” means Rejuvenate Spa, owned and run by Danielle Gonsalves, at Rose Garden, Rockley, Christ Church, Barbados. You can reach us at info@rejuvenatebarbados.com or on (246) 241-7565.
By placing an order, booking a treatment or creating an account, you accept these terms. Our Privacy Policy, Delivery and Returns pages form part of them.
2. Prices
All prices are in Barbados dollars (BBD) and include VAT at 17.5%. Collection from the spa is free. If we find a mistake in the price of something you have ordered, we will contact you before we prepare it, and you can go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
3. Ordering
- When you place an order, you are offering to buy. We email you to confirm we have received it.
- The contract between us starts when your payment is accepted, or when we confirm your order is being prepared, whichever comes first.
- We may decline an order, for example if a product is out of stock or a price was wrong. If you have already paid, we refund you in full.
- Our products are for personal use, not for resale.
4. Paying
- By card (Visa or Mastercard), on Scotiabank's secure payment page. You are charged in Barbados dollars by Rejuvenate Spa, Barbados, and the payment appears on your statement under our name. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment. We never see or store your card number. Your bank, not us, sets any foreign exchange or card fees if your card is not in Barbados dollars.
- By bank transfer, using the details we send you. We prepare the order once the payment arrives. If it has not arrived within 5 working days, we may cancel the order.
- When you collect your order from the spa.
If a card payment does not go through, nothing is charged and your order stays open so you can try again or choose another way to pay.
5. Collection and delivery
- Orders are collected from the spa, free of charge, once we tell you they are ready.
- We hold a ready order for 14 days.
- We do not offer delivery through the website, and we do not send orders outside Barbados.
Full details are on our Delivery page.
6. Treatments and bookings
- Consultation first. Every treatment begins with a consultation. Some treatments are unsuitable during pregnancy, with certain medications, or with particular skin and health conditions. If our practitioner decides a treatment is not suitable for you, we refund any deposit in full.
- Tell us everything relevant. Please tell us about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, pregnancy or recent treatments. We rely on what you tell us to treat you safely, and we may decline or stop a treatment if it is not safe to go ahead.
- Age. Treatments are for clients aged 18 and over. Under-18s are treated only with the written consent of a parent or guardian.
- Deposits. A deposit of 25% of the treatment price confirms your appointment, paid by card when you book online or by bank transfer. The balance is due at your appointment.
- Changing or cancelling. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice. If you do, we refund your deposit or move it to your new appointment, whichever you prefer.
- Late cancellation or not arriving. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, or do not arrive, you lose the deposit.
- Arriving late. If you arrive late we may need to shorten your treatment so the next client is not kept waiting, and the full price still applies. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may need to rebook you, which counts as a late cancellation.
- If we cancel, we refund your deposit in full or rebook you, whichever you prefer.
- Results vary. Individual results vary. Photographs and testimonials describe one person's experience and are not a promise of any particular outcome.
7. Returns and refunds
- You have 14 days from collection to tell us you want to return a product.
- Products must come back unopened, with the seal intact. Skincare is a hygiene category: once opened, a product cannot be resold.
- If an item is damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours. We replace it or refund it in full.
- We refund the way you paid. A card payment is refunded to the same card, never in cash, within ten working days of our agreeing the refund. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
Full details are on our Returns page. If you are unhappy with a card payment, please contact us first: we can usually put it right faster than a dispute through your bank.
8. Gift vouchers
- A gift voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- An unused voucher can be refunded, and can be passed to someone else.
- Once used for a treatment, in whole or in part, a voucher cannot be refunded.
9. Accounts
Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. We may close an account that is used to break these terms.
10. Online courses
- Our courses teach skincare knowledge and practice. Completing a course, and any certificate it gives, is not a professional licence, an accredited qualification or permission to practise.
- Course content is for your own learning. Please do not copy, share or resell it.
- If a course is paid, its price, what is included and its refund terms are shown before you pay.
11. Health information on our websites
Information on this site is general and is not medical advice. It does not replace a consultation, a diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified practitioner.
12. Our content
The text, photographs, logos and course material on our websites belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Please do not copy them without our permission.
13. Our responsibility to you
- We provide our products, treatments and courses with reasonable care and skill.
- If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as storms, power cuts or a payment network outage. We will tell you and do what we can to limit the delay.
14. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under Barbados consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act and the Consumer Guarantees Act. Products must be as described and fit for their purpose, and services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.
15. Emails and records
We send order, payment and booking confirmations by email, and you agree that an order or booking made online is as binding as one made in person. Keep your confirmation email: it is your receipt.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to an order or booking is the one on this page when you placed it.
17. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Barbados, and the courts of Barbados deal with any dispute. Please talk to us first: most problems are quickest to fix by phone or WhatsApp.
